Snow is expected today and tomorrow over parts of Ireland.
After the heavy band of rain pushes East today colder air will be pushed in from the West along with heavy showers.
These showers are expected to turn wintry throughout the day and overnight.
Snow is possible in many areas with the showers mostly in the West and the North of the country but some venturing further inland too. As the cold air pushes over Ireland the snow line will drop with many spots around 100-200 metres high forecast to see snow.
Accumulations are possible overnight on higher ground especially but lower ground could see some too!
Early tomorrow morning a more persistent band of rain will push into the South West bringing with it warmer air. As it moves East the rain could turn to snow in many spots.
A weather warning has been issued by Met Eireann and the Met Office for snow and ice, you can check these at weatheralertsireland.com/warning
