Temperatures overnight hit record levels for New Years Eve!

The previous highest minimum record was set at 11.4°C at Valentia which was recorded on 31st of December 2007

Last night Weather Alerts Ireland set a new record as temperatures dropped to a low of just 12.8 degrees. As this is not a Met Eireann weather station it will not be added as an official record.

Malin Head, Valentia and Phoenix Park dropped to a low of 12.4 degrees!

Things will start to change as colder air will begin to push over Ireland from the North on Monday evening with a risk of snow later next week.
