A band of rain will push in from the South early tonight and overnight to many parts of Ireland

This rain will affect Munster and South Leinster mostly with amount of 7-10mm expected in 24 hours! North half of country may escape the rain over the next 24 hours!

In the North half of Ireland a hard frost is expected overnight as temperatures drop to -2 or even -3 in parts. This will lead to hazardous driving conditions due to black ice forming so please take care if out and about overnight!

In the South of the country temperatures look to range from 1-3 degrees and possible lower locally. Southern Coasts will range between 3-6 degrees.
