?Should an Orange Warning be issued for Snow? ?

The ECMWF model is showing a chance of 5cm accumulations overnight falling in many parts of the North of the country in less than 6 hours. Met Eireann criteria states 3cm or greater in 6 hrs is within the Orange Warning Criteria.

Higher ground could see over 10cm of snow.

This would lead to very very dangerous driving conditions overnight and early tomorrow morning

Temperatures will rise quickly in the morning so it will start to thaw.

Please be careful if out and about!
